Halftrack

Here is my Half Track. It is an army vehicle. The ground clearance on this project was really important so I made that my main priority. It is 1 1/4 inch's of the ground (3.3cm). I have put on the ultrasonic touch and sound sensor - I hope to put the light sensor on later. The ultrasonic sensor is up front as you can see ~ when it gets close to an object it will reverse and if it hits something in the back bumper it will push the touch sensor and turn. The sound sensor is intergrated in the model but when I clap or make a noise it will stop. The turning radius was also very important to me so a made sure that the front wheels could turn sharp. I haven't measured it yet but when I do I will upload the specs. Anyway this project is pretty sturdy and It uses almost all my pieces. I still hope to make it more sturdy in some places I just need to get a few more beams. I used 64 tread links and I bought them off LEGO Education.
